January 2013 was particularly wet, with dramatic storms, a healthy rise in the level of the Kinneret and even a very heavy Snowfall in Jerusalem.
The rivers and streams of Northern Israel – especially in the Golan Heights and Mt Hermon regions where filled and provided a popular and beautiful sight.
One of the favorite places with locals was the Saar Waterfall and Spring. The Saar is located on the main road (99 at junction with 989) from Kiriyat Shemona to the northern Golan, to the Druze Villages of Majdal Shaams & Maasade and to the Mount Hermon resort and national park.
